FCMG is proud to present Mehwish Iqbal’s newly commissioned solo exhibition and installation Submergence.

Exploring complex issues of migration and settlement, Submergence lays bare the relationships between survival and coping strategies for those who experience a new culture. 

Mehwish Iqbal: "Submergence is a response to the geopolitical upheaval that forces individuals to leave their homelands in a state of perplexity, highlighting the role of the natural environment in the social, cultural, and spiritual lives of these individuals."

Time: 5 - 7pm
Location: Fairfield City Museum & Gallery, 634 The Horsley Drive, Smithfield NSW - entry via Oxford Street.
